Luxury Tented Living Surrounded by Africa's Untamed Wilderness
Soroi Cheetah Camp offers a peaceful and exclusive safari experience in Lumo Conservancy, with sweeping views and rich wildlife. It’s perfect for travellers seeking privacy, comfort, and authentic encounters away from the crowds.
Soroi Cheetah Camp is an intimate five-star tented camp of just eight tents, perched on a gentle hillside within the community-owned LUMO Conservancy. Eco-conscious design, a pool, spa treatments and a resident naturalist give it a polished yet personal feel, and the low guest numbers guarantee a quiet, exclusive safari far from the busier reserves.
The camp lies in the LUMO Conservancy between Tsavo West National Park and the Taita Hills, in Kenya's expansive Tsavo ecosystem. Elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and plentiful plains game roam the conservancy, and because it is private land, guests can also enjoy night game drives and guided bush walks not permitted inside the national parks. Access is straightforward: around 1.5 hours by road from Voi SGR station, 4 to 5 hours from Mombasa, or a one-hour flight from Nairobi Wilson to the Taita Hills airstrip.
The eight tents are split between Luxury Safari Tents, larger Family Tents and Superior Tents positioned for the finest views. Each has king or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda facing the plains, with dining ranging from bush breakfasts to private candlelit dinners.
The Tsavo region combines naturally with Amboseli National Park beneath Kilimanjaro; the 3-day Amboseli safari is an easy add-on before or after your stay.
Spacious tent with king or twin beds, en-suite bathroom, and a private veranda overlooking the plains, designed for comfort and scenic views.
Larger tent with additional beds and expanded space, ideal for families or small groups seeking comfort and privacy.
Premium tents positioned for the best views, featuring enhanced interiors and generous outdoor seating areas.

Located in the Lumo Community Wildlife Conservancy between Tsavo West, Tsavo East, and Tanzania's Mkomazi National Park, Soroi Cheetah Tented Camp offers spectacular views over the conservancy and excellent wildlife viewing in a less crowded setting than many of Kenya's more famous parks.
This is the ideal time to visit. During the dry season, wildlife gathers around water sources, making animals easier to spot. Elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elands, and other plains game are frequently seen throughout the conservancy. The weather is sunny and comfortable, and game-viewing conditions are excellent.
This short dry season is another outstanding period. Wildlife remains concentrated around water points, vegetation is less dense, and visitor numbers are lower than during peak safari months. Clear skies and good lighting make this a favorite season for photographers.
The short rains transform the conservancy into a lush green wilderness. Birdlife is abundant, landscapes are beautiful, and wildlife viewing remains rewarding. This period offers fewer crowds and attractive rates while maintaining excellent safari experiences.
These are generally the wettest months. While some roads may become muddy, the scenery is spectacularly green and visitor numbers are very low. Travelers often benefit from discounted rates and a more exclusive safari atmosphere.
Located within the wildlife-rich Lumo Conservancy, a private conservation area connecting major ecosystems.
Elevated tented camp with panoramic views over the conservancy.
