Nairobi to Nakuru flight time: A brief 25 to 30-minute domestic charter or scheduled flight from Nairobi's Wilson Airport (WIL) directly into the Naishi Airstrip.
Naishi airstrip transfer to lodge: A 15-minute introductory 4x4 game drive through the southern reserve directly to the cliffside entrance.
Private helicopter transfer options: The property accepts advanced coordinates booking for private helicopter landings directly at the camp's secure pad.
Nairobi to Nakuru driving time: Approximately 3 to 3.5 hours (around 155 km) driving northwest on the fully paved A104 Highway along the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
Park gate entry to camp: Accessible via the Main Gate or Lanet Gate. Once inside the park, it requires an estimated 25-minute scenic ridge-line drive to clear the camp gates.
Vehicle requirements for ridge access: A robust 4x4 safari vehicle is heavily recommended to navigate the steep, rocky incline winding up the escarpment face to the camp.
June to October (Peak Dry Season): The best time for viewing rhinos and big cats. Sparse vegetation forces leopards and rhinos into predictable water zones, while clear valley skies offer the most dramatic cliffside photography conditions.
January to February (Short Dry Season): The best time for clear sunrise views. The air over the Rift Valley lake basin is exceptionally crisp during these months, allowing guests to watch the lake mist dissipate completely from their outward-facing beds.
November to December (Short Rains / Green Season): The best time for luxury bird watching. The water bodies fill up, attracting massive flocks of migratory birds, pelicans, and iconic pink flamingo lines right beneath your private balcony veranda.
March to May (Long Rains / Low Season): The best time for complete property seclusion. While rain clouds alter driving paths below, the escarpment turns lush and emerald green, creating an incredibly cozy, moody atmosphere perfect for indoor fires and spa therapy.
