By Air: Most travelers arrive via a scheduled flight from Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Flights take between 1 to 1.5 hours, landing at various seasonal Serengeti airstrips (such as Seronera, Ndutu, Grumeti, or Kogatende) depending on the camp’s current location. Complementary 4x4 safari vehicle transfers meet guests at the airstrip.
By Road: While road travel from Arusha is possible, it is a rugged, bumpy overland journey covering roughly 8 to 10 hours. Due to the moving nature of the camp deep inside remote park sectors, fly-in safari itineraries are highly recommended for comfort and timing.
December to March – Southern Serengeti (Ndutu/Masanja): The camp is pitched in the southern plains to capture the great calving season, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest calves are born, drawing intense predator action from lions and cheetahs.
May to June – Western Corridor (Grumeti): The tents move west as the herds face their first major water barrier crossing the crocodile-infested Grumeti River. The weather is dry and game tracking is highly dramatic.
July to October – Northern Serengeti (Kogatende/Lamai): Positioned in the extreme north for the world-famous Mara River crossings. Guests have front-row access to watch the herds plunge across the waters into Kenya's Masai Mara and back.
November – Central Serengeti (Seronera): The camp tracks the herds moving back south through the central valleys. The landscape is lush, crowds are thinner, and resident big cats are highly active around the rocky kopjes.
