June to October – Best Overall Safari Season This is the prime time to visit Meru National Park. The weather is generally dry, wildlife gathers around rivers and water sources, and game viewing is at its best. The park's diverse habitats make it an excellent destination for seeing the Big Five, particularly rhinos and elephants. Roads are also easier to navigate during this period.
January to February – Excellent Wildlife Viewing The short dry season is another fantastic time to stay at iKWETA. The landscapes remain green from previous rains, wildlife is easier to spot, and visitor numbers are lower than during peak season. Many safari experts consider this one of Kenya's best safari periods.
November to December – Green Season Short rains bring lush vegetation, beautiful scenery, and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Meru is home to more than 400 bird species, making this an attractive season for bird enthusiasts and photographers. Wildlife viewing remains rewarding, and the park is especially peaceful.
March to May – Low Season These months coincide with the long rains. The park becomes incredibly green and scenic, but some roads may be challenging after heavy rainfall. The upside is fewer visitors, lower rates, and excellent photography opportunities.
