July to October – Best Overall Safari Season

This is the peak safari season and the best time to stay at Ashnil Mara Camp. The Great Migration passes through the Maasai Mara during these months, with spectacular wildebeest river crossings and intense predator activity. The camp's location near the Mara River makes it ideal for witnessing this natural phenomenon.

January to February – Excellent Wildlife & Photography

The short dry season offers outstanding game viewing with fewer visitors than migration season. Wildlife is easier to spot due to shorter grass, and predator sightings are often exceptional. This is also one of the best times for photography.

November to December – Green Season

Following the short rains, the Mara becomes lush and green. Birdwatching is excellent, landscapes are beautiful, and visitor numbers are lower. Wildlife viewing remains rewarding thanks to the reserve's abundant resident wildlife.

March to May – Low Season

These are generally the wetter months. Guests benefit from:
