Getting There
Located on the edge of Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi, Rwanda, One&Only Gorilla's Nest is one of Africa's most exclusive luxury lodges and an ideal base for gorilla trekking adventures. The lodge is nestled in the foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes, just minutes from the park headquarters.
By Road: The most common way to reach the lodge is by a scenic drive from Kigali International Airport (KGL). The journey covers approximately 100–120 km and takes about 2.5 hours, passing through Rwanda's beautiful rolling countryside and vibrant local communities. Luxury transfers can be arranged directly through the lodge.
By Helicopter: For the ultimate luxury arrival, private helicopter transfers are available from Kigali International Airport directly to the lodge's helipad. The flight takes approximately 25 minutes, offering spectacular aerial views of Rwanda's hills and the Virunga mountain range.
Private Transfers & Gorilla Trekking Packages: Private road transfers, chauffeur-driven services, luxury fly-in safaris, and tailor-made gorilla trekking packages can be arranged, often combined with visits to Nyungwe National Park, Akagera National Park, and other destinations across Rwanda.
Nearest Airport: Kigali International Airport (KGL) is the primary gateway for guests visiting the lodge and offers convenient regional and international connections. For air transfers, the lodge also has a dedicated helipad on the property.
