After meeting your private guide, you will begin the scenic drive to Amboseli National Park, traveling through the Kenyan countryside toward one of the country’s most photogenic safari destinations.

Upon arrival in Amboseli, you will enjoy lunch and take some time to relax before your first safari activity. In the evening, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its open plains, seasonal wetlands, large elephant herds, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days.

This first game drive is a beautiful introduction to your safari. As the sun begins to lower over the plains, you may see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, birdlife, and possibly lions depending on wildlife movement and timing. After the game drive, return for dinner and overnight in the Amboseli area.

Today is dedicated to exploring Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most scenic wildlife areas. You will begin with an early morning game drive when animals are often more active and the morning skies may offer clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is an excellent time for photography, especially with elephants moving across the plains.

Amboseli is known for its large elephant herds, wetlands, open grasslands, acacia woodland, and rich birdlife. This visit offers a meaningful opportunity to learn about Maasai customs, traditions, dress, dances, homestead life, and the community’s deep connection to the land. It is a valuable cultural experience that adds human context to the landscapes you are exploring.

You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a guided nature walk, offering a slower and more personal connection to the environment. Your guide may help you understand tracks, plants, smaller wildlife signs, and the local landscape. If you prefer not to take the nature walk, you can be dropped off by vehicle at the village instead.

Return for dinner and overnight in the Masai Mara area.

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve on extensive private game drives. With your expert guide, you will search for wildlife across the savannah, riverine areas, and open grasslands, following natural animal movement and seasonal patterns.

The Masai Mara is known for lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and a wide variety of birdlife. You will have a chance to search for the Big Five, although sightings depend on the season, location, and wildlife behavior. If traveling during the migration season, some areas of the Mara may also offer opportunities to see large herds of wildebeest and zebras.

After breakfast, you will begin the road transfer back to Nairobi. Your guide will plan the journey carefully to connect with your scheduled domestic flight to Diani. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will check in for your flight to the coast.

After landing at Ukunda Airport or the confirmed Diani arrival point, an Imara Africa Safaris representative will meet you and transfer you to the beautiful Diani Beach area. You will enjoy lunch and have the rest of the day free to relax by the coast.

After several days of safari travel, this is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy the Indian Ocean atmosphere. You may relax by the swimming pool, take a gentle walk along the beach, enjoy the ocean breeze, or simply rest after your safari adventure. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the Diani Beach area.

Overnight Destination: Diani Beach area

This day is fully dedicated to rest and leisure at Diani Beach, one of Kenya’s most beautiful coastal destinations. After breakfast, you can enjoy a slow and peaceful day by the ocean.

Diani is known for its white sandy beaches, warm Indian Ocean waters, palm-lined coastline, and relaxed coastal atmosphere. You may swim, walk along the beach, relax by the ocean, enjoy the swimming pool, or simply take in the peaceful views after your safari adventure.

This beach stay is ideal for couples, families, honeymooners, and travelers who want time to recharge before returning home. Meals and overnight stay will be in the Diani Beach area.
