Lake Naivasha Lodge is a classic lakeside resort set among lush gardens and acacia trees on the shores of Lake Naivasha, one of the Rift Valley's freshwater jewels. Generous facilities, a relaxed pace and a location under two hours from Nairobi make it a dependable base for families, groups and nature-focused weekends.
The lodge sits on the lake's southern shores, roughly a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Nairobi via the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway, with the SGR to Naivasha and the local airstrip offering alternatives. Hippos and over 400 recorded bird species animate the lake itself, boat safaris run from the shore, and guided walks on nearby Crescent Island bring guests on foot among giraffe, zebra and antelope. Hell's Gate National Park, famous for cycling safaris beneath dramatic cliffs, is a short drive away.
The 84 rooms span superior and deluxe doubles through to suites with private balconies and lake or garden views. A pool, sauna and steam room, gym and conference facilities support longer stays, while dining stretches from poolside lunches to bush dinners. Farm visits, mountain biking and community walks extend the activity list well beyond the shoreline, while yoga sessions and in-room dining cater to slower mornings after busy days out.
