The classic formula is 3–5 days on safari, then 3–5 days on the beach. You safari in the Masai Mara and/or Amboseli, then take a short flight to the coast — Diani Beach (south of Mombasa), Watamu (marine park and turtles) or Zanzibar (spice island, Stone Town and reefs). A 10–14 day trip is ideal. We handle every flight, transfer and visa so the two halves connect effortlessly.
Sample Itineraries
Popular combinations — tap a length. Swap the beach for Diani, Watamu or Zanzibar; everything is customisable.
Big cats in the Mara, then warm Indian Ocean water at Kenya's favourite beach.
Welcome and overnight; trip briefing.
Three days of Big Five and big-cat game drives.
Flight via Mombasa to Diani Beach; settle into your beach resort.
White sand, snorkelling, dhow cruises and spa days.
Beach morning, then transfer for your flight home.
Why Combine Both
Adrenaline and wildlife first, then total relaxation — the perfect balance for a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Short internal flights link the bush and the coast — no long drives, more time enjoying both.
Choose Diani's resorts, Watamu's marine park or Zanzibar's spice-island culture and reefs.
Wind down after game drives with pools, snorkelling and warm, shallow water for kids.
We arrange the whole journey — safari, flights, transfers, beach — so nothing falls through the cracks.
KATO bonded and TRA licensed, with 24/7 support across both the bush and beach legs.
Choose Your Coast
Each beach has its own character. Pick one to see what suits your style.
Kenya's most popular beach — a long stretch of powder-white sand with resorts for every budget, watersports and easy access from the Mara via Mombasa.
What It Costs
Per person, per day sharing across the whole trip — safari days run higher than beach days, so the blended rate sits below a pure safari.
$300–$450 / day
Comfortable safari camps plus a solid beach resort with breakfast.
$550–$900 / day
Premium camps and a 4–5★ beach resort, half or full board.
$1,000+ / day
Exclusive camps and barefoot-luxury beach villas, private transfers.
A 10–12 day safari + beach trip typically runs $3,500–$6,000 per person mid-range. Internal flights are included in our quotes — we'll itemise everything clearly.

Safari-plus-beach trips have many moving parts: parks, internal flights, transfers, two or three properties, sometimes two countries. Booking through a reseller adds a markup and a risky hand-off between suppliers. We coordinate the entire journey ourselves, so the bush and beach legs connect seamlessly.
The magic of a safari-and-beach trip is in the joins — the flight that lands you on the coast the same afternoon you leave the Mara. We obsess over those connections so your holiday flows from adrenaline to total relaxation without a single stressful gap.

SafariSafari + Beach FAQ
Timing, which coast, flights, visas, safety, costs and how the two halves connect.
Ten to fourteen days is ideal — roughly 3–5 days on safari and 3–5 on the beach, plus arrival and departure. That's enough to see the wildlife properly and still have genuine downtime on the coast. We can compress it into 8 days or extend it if you have more time.
Tell us your dates and whether you fancy Diani, Watamu or Zanzibar, and we'll design one seamless trip — flights and all — with honest pricing and no obligation.
