Your 8-day ultra luxury Kenya safari begins in Nairobi with pickup from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your Nairobi hotel, or your Nairobi residence. You will be welcomed by your professional safari guide from Imara Africa Safaris, followed by a short safari briefing to take you through the journey ahead.

The day begins with a visit to Nairobi National Park, a unique wildlife park located close to the Nairobi city skyline. During your game drive, you may see rhinos, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and many bird species, depending on wildlife movement and the time of day.

You will also visit Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, known for its elephant conservation work, and the Giraffe Centre, where guests can learn about and interact with Rothschild giraffes. This first day is a wonderful introduction to Kenya’s wildlife, conservation, and safari culture before the main journey begins.

After the day’s experiences, you will return to your premium Nairobi hotel for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic airport or airstrip in Nairobi for your scheduled flight to Amboseli. This fly-in experience reduces the long road transfer and gives guests a smoother and more comfortable start to the Amboseli section of the safari.

Upon arrival at the Amboseli airstrip, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your ultra luxury lodge or camp. After check-in, you will enjoy lunch and take some time to relax before your afternoon game drive.

In the late afternoon, you will proceed for an evening game drive in Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, open plains, wetlands, birdlife, and Mount Kilimanjaro views on clear days. During the game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, and various bird species. Depending on wildlife movement, you may also have a chance to spot predators such as lions or cheetahs.

After sunset, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay in Amboseli.

After breakfast, you will spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park on a full-day game drive. This is the best day to enjoy the park in depth, with enough time to visit different wildlife areas, open plains, swamp sections, and scenic viewpoints.

Amboseli is one of Kenya’s best parks for elephant viewing and safari photography. The park is also home to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, antelopes, and many bird species. On clear mornings and evenings, Mount Kilimanjaro may create one of the most beautiful safari backdrops in East Africa.

Depending on the day’s arrangement, you may enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park or return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Your guide will plan the route based on wildlife movement, weather, and the best sightings of the day.

In the evening, you will return to your ultra luxury lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will check out and transfer to the Amboseli airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, your Imara Africa Safaris guide will meet you and continue with the road transfer to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley.

This route gives guests a more comfortable transition from Amboseli to the Rift Valley by combining a domestic flight with a scenic road transfer from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha. The drive offers countryside views, escarpment scenery, and a beautiful change of landscape as you travel toward the lake region.

On arrival at Lake Naivasha, you will check into your premium hotel or lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will proceed for a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you may see hippos, fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers, and other birdlife.

After the boat ride, you will continue to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. This is a unique experience where guests can walk among giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other non-predatory wildlife in a calm and scenic natural setting. Later, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Lake Naivasha.

After breakfast, you will check out and begin the day with a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. This park is known for its dramatic cliffs, scenic landscapes, geothermal features, and outdoor adventure atmosphere. Depending on the arrangement and guest preference, activities may include sightseeing, light walking, cycling, or exploring the park with your guide.

After the Hell’s Gate experience, you will continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch before relaxing for a short while.

In the evening, you will proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is known for rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, baboons, birdlife, and beautiful lake scenery. Depending on the season and lake conditions, you may also see flamingos and other water birds.

After the evening game drive, you will return to your premium lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will check out and depart Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you from the Rift Valley lake region toward the open savannah landscapes of the Mara. Along the way, you will enjoy countryside scenery, local towns, and changing landscapes as you travel toward Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve.

You will arrive in the Masai Mara area in time for lunch or in the afternoon, depending on departure time and road conditions. After check-in at your ultra luxury camp or lodge and some time to relax, you will visit a Maasai village in the evening.

The Maasai village visit gives guests a chance to learn about Maasai traditions, dances, dress, lifestyle, family structure, and community heritage. It is a meaningful cultural experience and a good way to understand the people who have lived alongside the Mara ecosystem for generations.

After the village visit, you will return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Masai Mara.

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge or camp with packed picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. This is one of the most exciting days of the safari, giving you enough time to explore the open savannah plains, riverine areas, and wildlife-rich sections of the reserve.

Masai Mara is one of Africa’s top safari destinations and is known for excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year. Your professional guide will help you search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, antelopes, and many bird species. Depending on the season, the wider Mara ecosystem may also offer sightings connected to the Great Migration.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the reserve before continuing with more game viewing in the afternoon. The full-day game drive gives guests the best chance to enjoy the beauty, wildlife, and landscapes of Masai Mara at a relaxed pace.
