Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by an Imara Africa Safaris representative and introduced to your private safari guide. After a short briefing, you will begin your journey south toward Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most scenic safari destinations.

The drive gives you a first impression of Kenya’s countryside as you leave Nairobi behind and travel toward the open landscapes near the Kenya–Tanzania border. Upon arrival in Amboseli, you will check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch before taking some time to relax.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park. The park is well known for its large elephant herds, open plains, seasonal wetlands, and views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. You may also see zebras, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeests, gazelles, hyenas, and a variety of birdlife depending on the season and wildlife movement.

Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight in the Amboseli area.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, one of the best times to experience Amboseli as wildlife is often more active and the morning light creates beautiful photography conditions. On clear mornings, Mount Kilimanjaro may appear in the background, offering one of the most iconic safari scenes in East Africa.

Amboseli is especially famous for its elephants, and your guide will help you explore the park’s plains, marsh areas, and wildlife-rich sections in search of animals and birdlife. You may encounter elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, hyenas, and many bird species. Predator sightings are possible, but they depend on natural movement and timing.

After the morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and time to relax. Since this is a private safari, the day can be planned at a comfortable pace, allowing room for photography, rest, and personal interests. In the afternoon, return to the park for another game drive before heading back to your lodge or camp for dinner.

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and begin the scenic journey toward Lake Naivasha. The route offers changing landscapes as you travel from the dry plains of Amboseli toward the Great Rift Valley lake region. Your guide will make the journey comfortable, with stops as needed along the way.

Upon arrival in the Lake Naivasha area, you will enjoy lunch before heading out for a relaxing boat ride on the lake. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake known for its peaceful scenery, hippos, fish eagles, water birds, and beautiful surroundings. Boat rides are subject to lake and weather conditions, but they are usually a calm and enjoyable experience after the road transfer.

You will then continue with a guided walking safari on Crescent Island. This is a special experience because it allows you to explore on foot in a natural setting where you may see giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife at a gentle pace. After the walking safari, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight in the Lake Naivasha area.

Following breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and continue your journey to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The route passes through the scenic Great Rift Valley region, with a brief stop for photos where possible. The changing views, local towns, and open landscapes make this a memorable travel day.

You will arrive in the Masai Mara area in time for lunch, depending on road conditions and departure timing. After check-in and a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive to begin exploring one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.

During your first game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and, with good timing, lions or other predators. Wildlife sightings depend on the season, area covered, and natural animal movement.

Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight in the Masai Mara area.

Spend a full day discovering the incredible wildlife and landscapes of the Masai Mara. With morning and afternoon game drives, you will have time to explore different sections of the reserve while following your guide’s knowledge of wildlife movement and seasonal patterns.

The Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s most famous safari destinations and is known for lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, antelopes, and rich birdlife. You may also have a chance to see leopards or rhinos, although sightings are never guaranteed and depend on nature. If traveling during the migration season, parts of the reserve may also offer opportunities to witness large herds of wildebeest and zebra, depending on their movement.

Because this is a private safari, the day remains flexible. You can focus on photography, wildlife behavior, relaxed viewing, or longer game drive routes depending on your interests and the guide’s recommendations. Lunch arrangements will depend on the final lodge plan, with either a return to camp or a picnic-style safari lunch where applicable.

In the evening, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight in the Masai Mara area.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Masai Mara and begin the drive back to Nairobi. The journey gives you a final look at Kenya’s countryside as you travel from the Mara region toward the capital. Your guide will plan the timing carefully to connect with your scheduled flight to Zanzibar from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will proceed to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Flight timing and check-in arrangements will depend on the confirmed schedule. On arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your beach resort.

After check-in, the rest of the day is reserved for relaxation. You can unwind after the safari, enjoy the resort setting, take a gentle walk along the beach, or simply settle into the slower rhythm of the island. Dinner arrangements will depend on your beach resort plan.

Wake up on the beautiful island of Zanzibar and enjoy a relaxed day at your beach resort. After several days of safari travel and game drives, this day is designed for rest, ocean views, and tropical comfort. You may spend the morning walking along the white sandy beach, swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, or simply relaxing at the resort.

Zanzibar is known for its beach scenery, Swahili culture, spice heritage, and coastal charm. Depending on your interests, optional activities such as a Stone Town tour, spice farm visit, snorkeling, diving, swimming with turtles, or a dhow sunset cruise can be arranged at an additional cost. These activities are subject to availability, weather, tides, and local operating conditions.

You may also choose to keep the day completely free, making it ideal for honeymooners, couples, families, or travelers who prefer a slower beach pace after safari.

Enjoy another full day in Zanzibar at your own pace. You may choose to relax at the resort, enjoy the beach, swim, read, take photos, or spend time enjoying the peaceful island atmosphere. This is a good day to balance rest with optional exploration if you would like to experience more of Zanzibar beyond the beach.

For culture and history, an optional Stone Town tour can introduce you to Zanzibar’s old streets, markets, doors, architecture, and Swahili-Arab heritage. A spice farm visit offers insight into the island’s long spice history, while marine-based activities such as snorkeling, diving, and dhow cruises provide a beautiful way to enjoy the Indian Ocean. Swimming with turtles may also be arranged where available and suitable.
