Samburu National Reserve is located approximately 350 kilometers north of Nairobi and can be reached in about 5 to 6 hours by road. The reserve is also accessible through scheduled and charter flights from Nairobi's Wilson Airport to nearby airstrips within the Samburu ecosystem.
The terrain consists of semi-arid plains, acacia woodlands, riverine forests, rocky hills, volcanic outcrops, and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River. The diverse landscape creates unique habitats that support a remarkable variety of wildlife.
