Getting There
Located along the beautiful Shanzu Beach on Kenya's North Coast, Serena Beach Resort & Spa is conveniently accessible by air, road, and rail, making it an ideal destination for both beach holidays and safari extensions. The resort is approximately 13 km from Mombasa city centre and sits directly on the Indian Ocean coastline.
By Air: The fastest and most convenient option is to fly into Moi International Airport (MBA) in Mombasa. The resort is approximately 22 km from the airport, with a transfer time of about 30–40 minutes depending on traffic. Daily flights connect Mombasa with Nairobi and other major destinations within Kenya.
By Road: Guests can drive from Mombasa City to the resort in approximately 20–30 minutes. Travelers arriving from Nairobi can also drive via the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway, a journey that takes approximately 7–8 hours depending on traffic and stops along the way.
By Train (SGR): Guests can travel aboard the Madaraka Express (SGR) from Nairobi to Mombasa Terminus, followed by a road transfer of approximately 45–60 minutes to the resort. This is a comfortable and scenic alternative to flying.
