Located inside Tarangire National Park, this camp offers an authentic tented safari experience surrounded by ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The camp is strategically positioned to access some of Tarangire's most productive game-viewing areas.
This is the prime time to visit Tarangire. During the dry season, wildlife from surrounding areas migrates toward the Tarangire River, creating one of the highest concentrations of animals in northern Tanzania. Massive elephant herds, lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and buffalo are commonly seen. Vegetation is thinner, making wildlife easier to spot.
Tarangire is famous for its seasonal migration. During these months, thousands of animals gather around the river and swamps, creating spectacular wildlife viewing and predator activity. This period is especially known for some of Africa's largest elephant concentrations.
The park transforms into a lush green landscape after the rains. Birdwatching becomes exceptional as migratory species arrive, and the scenery is beautiful for photography. Visitor numbers are lower, creating a more exclusive safari experience.
These are the wettest months of the year. While some roads can be challenging, guests enjoy lower rates, fewer tourists, dramatic landscapes, and excellent photographic opportunities.
