Lake Nakuru turns fuchsia pink with the flocks of flamingos that call it home. Over four hundred other bird species populate this lake of the Great African Rift Valley, ready to take your breath away at the splendor of their daily lives.
Amboseli is known for the herds of elephants in the National Park, as well as the awe-inspiring backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. The second highest mountain in the world provides the staid and solid background to your trip.
It is possible to reverse the order of this safari, and some modifications to the itinerary are possible with some extra costs. There is also options to add domestic flights between destinations for a higher fee.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Once we’ve picked you up from the airport, your hotel, or residence, we will track south through Kenya. A long and easy drive to the Amboseli awaits you today. Amboseli is another great park of the Serengeti, home to migrations, wonderful wildlife, and the breath-taking Mount Kilimanjaro.
Upon entering Amboseli, you will immediately have the opportunity to start spotting the stunning animals you have come to visit. This short game drive will take you to your accommodation in the park, and after lunch a more extensive game drive will be undertaken.
To round off the day you will return to your chosen camp or lodge for dinner.

Day 2 - Full Day in Amboseli National Park
A full day in this photogenic park.
Take this final opportunity to rise early and watch the sun rise over the endless plains with a snow-caped peak of Kilimanjaro at the background. Dawn is a truly captivating time out on the savanna, and the light is perfect for soft lit photography, too.
After having breakfast at the camp, you will embark on a full day’s exploration of the Amboseli. Along with big five of African safari, you should also be able to spot:
- Wildebeest
- Waterbucks
- Giraffes
- Zebras
- Hyenas
Along with others as you are ably assisted by your Kenyan safari guide. A picnic lunch in the park will ensure you don’t miss a beat of this glorious day surrounded by the mega-fauna this part of the world is famous for.
After your captivating day in the park you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and a final overnight inside Amboseli National Park.

Day 3 - Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast starts the day, and you will have chance to say farewell to the beasts of the Amboseli on a morning game drive. A drive through the Great African Rift Valley, with vistas to melt your heart, awaits you on your way to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch. Relax for a while and later you will have your first afternoon game drive in this famous park.
Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the, at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.
Safaris sometimes can be a bit tiring! Upon returning to your accommodation in the evening you’ll be served dinner and will have more time to relax before bedding down inside this nature park.

Day 4 - Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara
Progress on from Lake Nakuru after breakfast, you will continue driving through the great African Rift Valley to arrive at the Masai Mara. The landscapes along the way range from panoramic to sublime; be ready to drink the scenery in the heart of Kenya.
You will arrive at Masai Mara and immediately be immersed in the undulating landscape, filled with high concentrations of animals. Your small game drive will take you to your accommodation for lunch and then you will take an extensive afternoon exploration of the Masai Mara.
If you’re lucky enough to visit during the migrations, between July and October, you will be rewarded with the spectacle of herds of beasts traversing these rolling plains. However No matter the time of year, the Masai Mara will never be short of what you expected on your African Safari.

Day 5 - Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara
Masai Mara landscape is dominated by the acacia trees mixed with long grass and volcanic boulders that punctuate the landscape. You will head out after breakfast at your accommodation, with your African safari guide on hand to help you track, spot, and identify all the animals you see.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450
species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place (July to October). This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
Lunch will be served picnic style, so as to ensure you get as much of the day within the parks as possible. You will return to your accommodation for dinner and rest before the next day of your African safari.

Day 6 - Masai Mara -Nairobi
Starting the day early allows for a morning game drive as the Masai Mara transitions from night to dawn. The dawn chorus over the savanna is an African safari experience not to be missed.
Breakfast is served after the game drive, followed by embarking on the journey back to Nairobi. During your return journey you will stop for lunch in Narok town, for a serving of traditional Kenyan food. Once back in Nairobi, you can choose to return to your hotel, residence, or directly to the airport depending on your plans.
