Safari Details
On this Safari you will visit two of Kenya's biggest parks. The two intertwined parks contain some fantastic terrain, including rivers, lakes, tarns, glaciers, and peaks with a wide variety of vegetation, including grasslands, acacia vegetation, open plains, and savanna. It is therefore recognized as one of the world's leading bio-diversity strongholds. Some of the popular destinations within the park include Mudanda Rock; you can view a variety of animals at this park, which includes; elephant, lion, leopard, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra, and Aruba Hunter's hartebeest.
You will also observe the large herds of red elephants- they glow red due to the red dust of Tsavo. There are also about 500 species of birds, including the ostrich, and migratory birds like kestrels and buzzards.

Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa/ Kenya Coast – Tsavo East National Park (185 km, 3 to 4 hours)
Early pickup from your Kenyan beach resort. Set out on the Mombasa – Nairobi highway. The 120 km dawn drive takes us to the southern entry point of the Tsavo East National Park, where we stop briefly for refreshments (optional).
From the entrance gate, we do a game drive in the southern part of the reserve where you have the opportunity to spot:
- Elephants
- Gazelles
- Giraffes
- Monkeys
- Zebras
And many more.
We then proceed to our accommodation, where we have lunch. A relaxed afternoon game drive is scheduled for later in the day, with magnificent views of the African sunset.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park (60 km – Approx 1 hr)
We shall be up before sunrise! Dawn finds us set and ready for our early-morning game drive. We will experience the splendor of an African sunrise that engulfs the savanna as we traverse the vast Tsavo East Park in search of the early grazers and hunters.
At 09:00 am we shall return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and then depart for Tsavo West National Park, with a relaxed mid-morning game en-route.
To make sure you get as much time as possible in the wilds of Africa, you will have a picnic lunch in the Tsavo West National Park. This is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world and your chances of seeing many species of animals in their natural habitat is incredibly high. We will also visit the rhino sanctuary before returning to your camp or lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Tsavo West National Park – Mombasa (205 km – 4 to 5 hrs
Our final day on safari. Out with the sunrise for a pre-breakfast game drive. Nature is at its best at this time, with the predators out for the hunt and the herbivores browsing and grazing the dewy vegetation. Natural colors dominate the scenic volcanic terrain.
After a full breakfast at your camp or lodge, we shall venture out again… this time to visit the Mzima Springs, with more game viewing en route.
At the Mzima springs, we will take a nature walk as we marvel at sparkling clear waters and the surrounding greenery, which is a welcome reprieve in this semi-desert terrain. We will view hippos, crocodiles, colourful fish and unique migratory birds.
After leaving Tsavo West, we head back to the Kenyan coast, stopping en route for lunch at a town called Voi. We arrive in the late afternoon and drop you off at your beach resort or Mombasa Airport.
