Die Lodge liegt direkt am Eingang des Mgahinga-Gorilla-Nationalparks im Südwesten Ugandas. Sie ist über eine landschaftlich reizvolle 9- bis 10-stündige Fahrt von Kampala/Entebbe aus oder über einen einfacheren 3-stündigen Transfer über die Grenze von Kigali, Ruanda, aus erreichbar. Für die Anreise mit dem Flugzeug gibt es täglich planmäßige Inlandsflüge (1,5 Stunden Flugzeit) vom internationalen Flughafen Entebbe direkt zum Flugfeld Kisoro. Von dort aus geht es in einer landschaftlich reizvollen 45-minütigen Geländewagenfahrt über den Bergrücken zur Lodge.

Best Time to Visit

Primatenbeobachtungen und Vulkanbesteigungen sind ganzjährig möglich. Die trockensten Zeiträume von Juni bis September und von Dezember bis Februar bieten jedoch die angenehmsten Wanderbedingungen und die beste Sicht auf die Vulkane.
