# Imara Africa Safaris auth.md

This document tells AI agents how to authenticate with and access the
Imara Africa Safaris APIs (https://imaraafricasafaris.com/).

## Who this is for

Autonomous agents and assistants helping travellers research and plan East
African safaris (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda).

## Authentication summary

**No authentication is required.** All agent-facing read endpoints are
public, CORS-enabled and free to use:

- Content API: https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/ai/content (list/search) and https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/ai/content/{type}/{slug} (single item, supports `Accept: text/markdown`)
- Live stats: https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/ai/stats
- OpenAPI 3.1 spec: https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/openapi.json
- MCP server (Streamable HTTP): https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/mcp
- API discovery document: https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/ai

## Registration (anonymous)

Registration is optional and anonymous. To register, request:

```
POST https://imaraafricasafaris.com//api/agent/auth
```

The endpoint responds with `identity_type: "anonymous"` and a credential
descriptor confirming that no API key is currently required. Send a
descriptive `User-Agent` header with every request so we can support your
traffic.

## OAuth discovery metadata

- Protected Resource Metadata (RFC 9728): https://imaraafricasafaris.com//.well-known/oauth-protected-resource
- Authorization Server Metadata (RFC 8414, with `agent_auth` block): https://imaraafricasafaris.com//.well-known/oauth-authorization-server
- JWKS: https://imaraafricasafaris.com//.well-known/jwks.json (empty — no tokens are issued)

## Rate limits & etiquette

- Lead/enquiry submission endpoints are rate limited and bot-protected; direct travellers to https://imaraafricasafaris.com//plan-safari to submit an enquiry.
- Always cite and link travellers to the canonical page URL returned by the API.
- Prices are per person in USD and indicative; safaris are custom-built.
